Cooking
If you know me you know that I absolutely 100% LOVE to bake. It makes me so happy to see the finished product and know that I created that. It doesn't really matter what I bake it can be the most easiest cookie to the most extravagant cake or pie. I would love to be able to afford to take a ton of classes and learn even more than I already do. I want to be able to own a little bakery and have every person know that is the place to go for some really good treats! These creations are not perfect but none the less I am still proud of them. But the best is yet to come!

Pine Wood Derby
Tanner had his first Pine Wood Derby race last Wednesday night. He told Todd how he wanted it to look, Todd drew it out and then Grandpa Alan cut it out and had it painted. It turned out great!! Tanner thought it looked Awesome!! A day or so before the race I had a chat with Tanner about it being ok if he doesn't win. That not everybody is going to win and as long as you have fun that is all that matters. He seemed fine with that so I figured we wouldn't have any melt downs if he lost. The night finally came and he was super excited and wanted to go like 3 hours early! We had the grandparents come and watch and I think that made him even more excited. The car had to be no more than 5 oz. We weighed it on our food scale and it said 5.1 oz. Thinking that our scale is probably off we didn't worry about it. Well, we should have worried about it! The scale at the race told us that it was 5.2 oz!! OUCH that is way to heavy so luckily Todd brought his drill. So Todd and Grandpa Alan went to work carving out the bottom. Needless to say the bottom of the car no longer looks pretty. They did 6 races all together and then took the fastest time out of all those races. Tanner came in either 1st or 2nd on every race he did. His face was priceless when he won. He raised his hands above his head and said "YES"! It was super cute. Finally when all 6 races were complete they did there figuring and Tanner ended up in 2nd place! That was fantastic! He was very excited. It was a perfect ending to a not so perfect start with the car being over weight. But all that matters is he had a great time and we were able to spend some time together as a family!
