Kacie and the first snow

We had the first big snow fall today since we have been back. This is the first time Kacie has seen snow. It was the funniest thing ever! She walked around the back yard with her nose to the ground trying to smell it so she could figure out what it was. After a while she decided she really liked it and started to run around the yard. She even figured out that if she pushed her nose on the ground it would make a little snowball and then she could chase it. I guess maybe she is pretty smart after all. So for the rest of the day she wanted to go in and out.

First christmas Party of 2008

We had our first Christmas Party of this year at the Jeep Posse Building. And of course you can guess that SANTA showed up! Tanner wasn't sure about it and chose not to sit on Santa's lap. If you could have seen his face you would have totally understood. But Caitlin got right up there and asked for a Nintendo DS. She is sure that is what he is going to bring her. Even thou Tanner didn't sit on his lap they had a good time. Maybe the next party we can get Tanner up there. :)

Colten came to visit

We had Colten over this last Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The kids had the best time laughing and catching up. I never thought they would go to bed Saturday night. They all got a long so good. You would never even know that they don't see each other that often. But they sure are a WILD and CRAZY BUNCH!!!

So Many Things!!

So many things to say, where to start?? I will leave out the minor things so it doesn't take so long!
First of all WE ARE BACK!!! It is so great to be HOME!!! The kids are loving it and so am I. Friends and Family have been so supportive with everything. As for the unpacking that is going to have to wait.
Went to lunch with one of my oldest friends that I have not seen in like forever. It was just like old times. You would have thought we hadn't missed a day of talking to each other. We had a total blast!! Thanks Heidi you are amazing!!
Went to a concert with Heidi a last weekend! It was the first concert we ever went to together. Fifteen years ago. You would have thought we were teenagers again. Good Times!!
Looking forward to Thanksgiving so we can see those family members that we haven't seen since being back. When the Holidays come around I have to stop and think about all the good things I have in my life and all the good people in my life. I wouldn't be the same without them. I am so grateful for every single person that has come in and out of my life and to those that have stayed with me and put up with all my craziness! I love each and everyone of you!

Coming Home

Well, we are coming HOME!!! Todd's boss has decided that he can work from Utah so we have decided to move back. We are all so excited! The only part I'm not looking forward to is the packing and the drive. When we moved down here we didn't have the kids with us so it wasn't so bad plus we had a moving company take our stuff. This time we have to move it ourselves. Todd will drive one truck and I will drive the other. I will take the kids and Todd will take the dogs. Three days in a truck with kids that are bound to fight?? I am going to need a serious vacation. It is going to be so great to get to see our families. We haven't seen most of them for 4 months, I know it's not that long but when you are on the other side of the country it is a LONG time!
I want to get some pics up of the house we have been in and the yard and tree's but I haven't figured it out yet. I will work on it and then try and get some posted so everyone can see where we have been living. Until next time I wish everyone Health and Happiness!

Grandparents Gone

Well the grandparents left last Sunday and the kids are missing them like crazy. We had such a good time. Since we moved to NC we haven't really seen the area much, but we went to all kinds of places. I have to say my favorite was the Mall we found. So many stores I didn't know where to start. We found the science center, the old mill, an old battleground and so much more. We ate out at so many YUMMY places that we will definately have to go back to. But having them here made me realize how much I miss my family. It's hard not being able to just get in the car and drive down the road to someones house. Family is something that is very important to not just me but to the rest of my family. We miss even the silly little get togethers that we would have or the birthday parties we would go to.( there was alot of those). Family is something that you cherish for the rest of your life. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about them. You need to make sure that you always let them know how much you love them, even on those days when they are about to drive you NUTS! Because once there gone, you won't have that chance. But to end on a good note, we had the most AWESOME time and hope to see them again soon.

Coming to Visit

Well, tomorrow Todd's dad and stepmom come to visit. Everyone is so excited. Especially the kids. It will be so nice to see some familiar faces. They will be here for one week, we have planned some fun things to do and of course some GREAT places to eat. My mouth can already taste the food. Yummy! It's really great that they took the time to come and see us I think we are all feeling a little home sick so being able to see family is going to help make it better. I will be sure to feel you in on all the happeings and fun stuff and try to get some pictures up.

Labor Day

We are in September and that means almost to winter. Yuck! So Labor day that is the day you usually just relax and have a good time with family and friends. Well here in NC with no family or friends you could actually call it a LABOR day. Forgot about relaxing. We did yard work and house work. Mowing the 1 acre+ is no easy task. Talk about sweat! Then laundry and more laundry. I think the clothes automatically jump out of the closet and into the hamper. I swear there are more clothes than people in this house. But anyway I am grateful that Todd had the day off and we were able to spend the day together even if it was doing Labor.

Back in School!

The kids went back to school the other day and all I have to say is it's about time!! Now don't get me wrong I love my kids to death, but one can only take so much. Here in North Carolina we are 2 hours earlier than in Utah. School starts at 7:40 am that is a whole hour earlier than what they are used to. So we have to get up at 6am to get them ready. That leaves us with an hour and we use up every minute! So when they get up at 6am back in Utah it is 4am. They ask me every day why it is so early! It is even a struggle for me. But anyway Caitlin is not to sure about her teacher, says she's kind of mean. But in when you are that age I think everybody is mean. Tanner says his teacher is great. I think first grade teachers are always great. I remember that was a fun year! Let's just hope that he continues to think she is great. He asks me how come school is so long. All I had to say is "just get used to it". It's going to be hard for them not knowing anybody but I really believe that with their personalities they should make friends really easy. Being a mother that is all you hope for. I don't want them to feel left out. So raise your glass cause here is to a great year!

Well I don't think were in Kansas anymore (actually Utah). We made the trek to North Carolina. The great outdoors were all you see is trees. What happened to the mountains? Which way is east? Help I'm so lost. This starts my adventure in the land of OZ!
