Thanksgiving

So Thanksgiving has come and gone and once again I am behind in posting things. We had a wonderful time on Thanksgiving at Todd's dad's house. Sally took pictures and I am waiting for her to send them to me so I can post them on here. We had plenty of food and fantastic pies. I think I ate enough to last me a month! I am so glad that my parents were able to come up for dinner and that we could all be together.
I am so thankful for everyone that has come into my life. All those that I have known for 33 years and those that I have only known a couple. You have all made a great impact on not only me but my entire family. I am thankful that we are all healthy and that we have a warm house to live in and food on our table. I think about all those that have it so much worse than I do and it really makes me appreciate everything I have and all the trials I have to go through. I would not trade my life in for anything. Even thou it might me hard I now in the end it will all be worth it.
This time of year is all about family and I know that we the Clark family are extremely thankful for all the loved ones still here with us and all those that have passed. Because some day we will all be together again. So basically what I am trying to say is a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to everyone!

Witches Night out

A sea of witch hats
Caitlin and Brytin
Me!
Mom, Caitlin, Brytin and Me
Just some of the Wacky Witches!

Yesterday just the girls went to Witches Night Out at Gardner Village. We left about 2:30 pm and didn't return home till about 11:00.
We all got dressed up in our Witch outfits and fancy hats and spent the day wandering around a sea of witches. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The sun was out and it was about 74 degrees. When night came it was a little chilly but all the people and the crazy music that made you want to dance kept you warm.
It was so nice to have a girls day to just relax and have a Witchy Good Time! I look forward to next year!

My thoughts

So I did realize that I haven't posted anything for a couple of months. It just seems like I never have the time and when I do I never think about doing it. I know, I know that's bad.
But being October that means that the first day of school has come and gone and so has summer. :(
The weather is turning cold and I am NOT excited about it. Tanner had his 8th birthday and we had a great time. I am going to try and get some pics posted this week on all the stuff we have done.
I have started back to work and I absolutely love it!! It is so much fun and I look forward to going everyday (well almost, I don't think I know of anyone that loves there job that much). I enjoy teaching the kids things that will change their lives. It is so much fun to see their smiling faces and their eyes light up when they finally understand. It is very rewarding!
But my promise to you is that I will be better at this blog thing and make it worth your time to read it!! :D

What's been going on???

So with today being August 11 I figured I probably needed to update.

We have officially moved!!! I know it's been almost a month but better late than never. We moved out west in Layton and the only neighbors close by would be the cows and the ever popular "Monster House".
What might this "Monster House" be you ask? Well, it is located right across the street from us on the west side. From the stories I have heard it is supposed to be haunted. But I have yet to hear anything out of the norm coming from the old ugly house. Layton city police could care less that every night from about 10pm to 2 am we have car full after car full of teenagers up to no good!! I assume they are there to get some type of thrill. All we get is screams after screams from them scaring each other. Let me just tell you that it is not the perfect way to get woken up. Your heart skips a couple of beats as you jump out of bed trying to figure out what is going on. Because at 1 am your body needs to be asleep. I'm pretty sure that the police department has started to recognize our voices. We get the same response every time we call "We are sorry, we are in the middle of a shift change and we are really busy. We will send an officer out as soon as one becomes available." Now don't get me wrong they do send one out but of course it happens to be when the screaming group of teenagers are gone. They have yet to show up when they are there. UGH!!!!!
But anyway our house is GREAT! It is just what we have been looking for. We have had to put in a lot of hours on yard work, but this time next year it will be looking FABULOUS!!! The pics I'm going to post are pre move in because I don't think I have taken any since we moved in. I really should be better at taking pictures. And of course pictures of the ever popular "Monster House".
ENJOY!!

Tanner T-Ball

Tanner played T-Ball again this year and I have to say that he has shown a huge improvement since the first year. This is his third year and he really seems to enjoy it. He has his slide perfected and when he hits the ball it goes clear to the grass almost every time. He is learning how to play most positions and enjoys the ones that give you the most action. (otherwise he gets bored) Gone are the days of picking grass and throwing it in the air, chasing the butterflies and sitting down because your bored. The team he was on this year was the Cincinnati Reds. It just happened to be the same coach as last time.
We are so proud of him and enjoy seeing how much he changes the older he gets. He enjoys sports and it will be interesting to see what he picks the older he gets. But we know that what ever he chooses he will give it his best and do a GREAT job! Way to go "Tan the Man"!

Way Behind

Ok, so it has been over a month since I have updated. Things have been so crazy!! I ended up having to teach 3rd grade at my kids school from April until it got out in June. That is a lot of work. I give complete credit to all those teachers out there. It's not easy. :( So I am slowly getting my life back together.
Mothers day came and went and it was wonderful. We had a big BBQ at Janice and Gordons with all the family. Todd and the kids gave me a tanning pass and that made my day even better. Because if you know me you know that I LOVE to be tan!! Sorry no pictures I forgot to take the camera. We had tons of yummy food and homemade Ice Cream for dessert. That's how we tell summer time is rolling in cause you break out the ice cream maker. I am looking forward to many of those times this summer!
The kids are very glad that school is out and they both did a wonderful job this year. Caitlin made it through 3rd grade and is going onto 4th, Tanner completed 1st and is moving on up to 2nd. I am so proud of both of them. Caitlin had her struggles but she stayed positive and we got past the hard times. I am afraid that she is taking after me in the math department. (poor kid) Tanner is the super wiz! He glides through everything needing little help. Let's hope it stays that way and he can teach me a few things. :) But they have the summer planned out with pretty much going to Lagoon every day. I don't think I will be able to handle that. I can't take those rides like I once did when I was yonger. All those turns and loops and twists does not agree with my stomach. I gotta take it much slower.
So for now I will leave you with mental pictures and hopes that I remember to put the camera in the car!! (don't hold your breath on that one)

Easter Fun

Easter this year was a ton of fun but super busy. With Caitlin's B-day on the 3rd, Grandma Clarks B-day on the 10th and Sallys B-day on easter day we barely had time to breath. It seemed like it was one party after another. Saturday afternoon we colored eggs as a family and the kids really enjoyed that. We all helped out. Then Sunday the Easter Bunny hid the eggs for the kids to find. He left baskets with jammies and summer clothes in it. We even had help from the dogs. But I do have to admit that I wish we could tell the kids that there was no you know what. I just think that Easter is one of those holidays that it isn't as important who brings the stuff. I think they would be fine knowing that Mom and Dad got the stuff. But Todd said no not yet. Then Sunday afternoon we had a big egg hunt at Grandma Marilyn's house. They hid eggs with clues that took you to your next egg and the final prize was a giant kite! Those are going to be so much fun! Now we just need wind. But we ate a great meal and for dessert we had a chocolate fountain!! YUMMY!! So over all it was a wonderful day spent with all our loved ones!

Caitlin Turns 9

I can't believe that 9 years ago my little girl was born. It just seems like yesterday that I was walking her to Kindergarten class for the first time. Man how time flys. I have to admit that we have our struggles and fair share of fights but I wouldn't trade her for anything. She gives the best hugs and kisses ever! She argues a lot but is very quick to forgive and she always lets you know she loves you. She has turned out to be a GREAT kid who can make friends really easy. She has the biggest heart out of any kid I know. She always makes sure that no one gets left out.
For her Birthday this year she wanted to have a girls only skating party at classic skating. So the Super Mom that I am (hahaha) I reserved a spot at Classic Skating and she seemed to have a great time. All her friends showed up and they laughed and laughed until they were exhausted. Makes me remember the times I went skating with my friends when I was that age! The best part is we didn't have any broken bones from the falls! :) The only things she asked for was a cell phone. So her dad and I gave in and got her one. Which she was told is for emergency's only. (not sure how long that will last) When we gave her the present Todd called her phone so it would ring while she was opening it. You should have seen her face. It was priceless! :)

Cruise

Could not fit all the pictures in one post so here's some more. Enjoy! :)

Cruise

Ok, I know it has been a while since we have been back from our cruise (which was WONDERFUL, hence the all caps letters, it was the best). We had a great time. We started in Florida and then made our first stop at St. Maarten then St. Kitts and then our last stop was Grand Turk. We snorkeled and went on a train ride and got a lot of SUN! We went with family and friends and I wouldn't of had it any other way. I think one of the best parts was no kids, we didn't have to worry about anything! The food was great I think I totally understand why you always gain weight. They taunt you with desserts galore and 24 hour pizza, man could it get any better?? We took a lot of pictures so I will only post the ones that are really good (it would take up way to much room to do them all). So to all reading this I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them.

CHRISTMAS

I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone and so has New Years. Crazy! Where has the time gone. We had a great time of Christmas spending it with Family and Friends. We did the traditional breakfast at Grandpa and Grandma Eggetts ( I have been doing that since I was a baby) then made the rounds to everywhere else. But it was nice to see all the family and just spend time together. Things are so buys all the time that it was nice to just be together and enjoy each others company.
