Tanner T-Ball

Tanner played T-Ball again this year and I have to say that he has shown a huge improvement since the first year. This is his third year and he really seems to enjoy it. He has his slide perfected and when he hits the ball it goes clear to the grass almost every time. He is learning how to play most positions and enjoys the ones that give you the most action. (otherwise he gets bored) Gone are the days of picking grass and throwing it in the air, chasing the butterflies and sitting down because your bored. The team he was on this year was the Cincinnati Reds. It just happened to be the same coach as last time.
We are so proud of him and enjoy seeing how much he changes the older he gets. He enjoys sports and it will be interesting to see what he picks the older he gets. But we know that what ever he chooses he will give it his best and do a GREAT job! Way to go "Tan the Man"!

Way Behind

Ok, so it has been over a month since I have updated. Things have been so crazy!! I ended up having to teach 3rd grade at my kids school from April until it got out in June. That is a lot of work. I give complete credit to all those teachers out there. It's not easy. :( So I am slowly getting my life back together.
Mothers day came and went and it was wonderful. We had a big BBQ at Janice and Gordons with all the family. Todd and the kids gave me a tanning pass and that made my day even better. Because if you know me you know that I LOVE to be tan!! Sorry no pictures I forgot to take the camera. We had tons of yummy food and homemade Ice Cream for dessert. That's how we tell summer time is rolling in cause you break out the ice cream maker. I am looking forward to many of those times this summer!
The kids are very glad that school is out and they both did a wonderful job this year. Caitlin made it through 3rd grade and is going onto 4th, Tanner completed 1st and is moving on up to 2nd. I am so proud of both of them. Caitlin had her struggles but she stayed positive and we got past the hard times. I am afraid that she is taking after me in the math department. (poor kid) Tanner is the super wiz! He glides through everything needing little help. Let's hope it stays that way and he can teach me a few things. :) But they have the summer planned out with pretty much going to Lagoon every day. I don't think I will be able to handle that. I can't take those rides like I once did when I was yonger. All those turns and loops and twists does not agree with my stomach. I gotta take it much slower.
So for now I will leave you with mental pictures and hopes that I remember to put the camera in the car!! (don't hold your breath on that one)

Easter Fun

Easter this year was a ton of fun but super busy. With Caitlin's B-day on the 3rd, Grandma Clarks B-day on the 10th and Sallys B-day on easter day we barely had time to breath. It seemed like it was one party after another. Saturday afternoon we colored eggs as a family and the kids really enjoyed that. We all helped out. Then Sunday the Easter Bunny hid the eggs for the kids to find. He left baskets with jammies and summer clothes in it. We even had help from the dogs. But I do have to admit that I wish we could tell the kids that there was no you know what. I just think that Easter is one of those holidays that it isn't as important who brings the stuff. I think they would be fine knowing that Mom and Dad got the stuff. But Todd said no not yet. Then Sunday afternoon we had a big egg hunt at Grandma Marilyn's house. They hid eggs with clues that took you to your next egg and the final prize was a giant kite! Those are going to be so much fun! Now we just need wind. But we ate a great meal and for dessert we had a chocolate fountain!! YUMMY!! So over all it was a wonderful day spent with all our loved ones!

Caitlin Turns 9

I can't believe that 9 years ago my little girl was born. It just seems like yesterday that I was walking her to Kindergarten class for the first time. Man how time flys. I have to admit that we have our struggles and fair share of fights but I wouldn't trade her for anything. She gives the best hugs and kisses ever! She argues a lot but is very quick to forgive and she always lets you know she loves you. She has turned out to be a GREAT kid who can make friends really easy. She has the biggest heart out of any kid I know. She always makes sure that no one gets left out.
For her Birthday this year she wanted to have a girls only skating party at classic skating. So the Super Mom that I am (hahaha) I reserved a spot at Classic Skating and she seemed to have a great time. All her friends showed up and they laughed and laughed until they were exhausted. Makes me remember the times I went skating with my friends when I was that age! The best part is we didn't have any broken bones from the falls! :) The only things she asked for was a cell phone. So her dad and I gave in and got her one. Which she was told is for emergency's only. (not sure how long that will last) When we gave her the present Todd called her phone so it would ring while she was opening it. You should have seen her face. It was priceless! :)
